Expansion project in Spital am Pyhrn

I started at MARK in 1996 as an apprentice back in the old factory in Spital am Pyhrn. Then I transferred to Technical Services where I worked as a company electrician. Following time in the armed forces, I completed the vocational matriculation exam. Thereafter, I attended a kind of college in Linz and once I had completed that I wanted to do an industrial engineering program in Linz at the University of Applied Sciences. After this professional and educational path, I now work as the assistant product manager.

At the moment, I am the project manager responsible for the expansion in Spital am Pyhrn, specifically for the addition of all the production departments and logistics as well as the technology centre. I was given a huge opportunity here because we don’t do additions every day. I am very proud of this.

The daily construction and project progress on site is impressive. The day before yesterday I was still standing in the muck, yesterday it was a levelled surface, and today the whole thing already has a roof.

A Career where others go on holiday

Mountain biking is the best way for me to find balance. When riding, I can think through things and the best ideas come to me. As for my bike, I am a little bit of a perfectionist; I assembled and designed it myself. In my personal life working with my hands is also very essential and important.

For me, three areas are intrinsically linked: family, sports, and work. And I am able to combine these perfectly in my life. I go to work, then I go bike riding, and then I am with my family.

I am very happy about the opportunities I have had at MARK. I have been able to pursue in-service training and have a top career. And, above all, I work where others go on vacation.
