Metal Engineering – Toolmaking

Responsibilities & Training:

In toolmaking (metal workings) you are responsible for the manufacture, assembly and maintenance of punching, drawing and bending tools, the manufacture of tool components according to design drawings and the development and manufacture of test and sample parts.
During your training you will acquire all the knowledge and skills of metalworking. You will also learn how to create design drawings and program machine tools.

Requirements & further training opportunities:

In order to start an apprenticeship as a digital toolmaker, you need a technical understanding and a good spatial imagination. You should also enjoy working precisely and have a high level of concentration.
Further training opportunities after the apprenticeship include foreman training, vocational maturity examination or, afterwards, training at a technical college or university.

Metal Engineering – Machining

Responsibilities & training:

In machining, you will manufacture tool parts for our deep-drawing moulds on state-of-the-art computer-aided (CNC) machines. You will learn all skills and abilities in the field of metalworking. The focus will be on programming and operating the CNC machine tools, determining the machining parameters and specifying the appropriate machining tools. Digitalisation and automation have also become indispensable in the manufacturing sector and are therefore an integral part of your training.

Requirements & further training opportunities:

To start an apprenticeship as a digital toolmaking technician, you need a technical understanding and good spatial awareness. You should also enjoy working accurately and have a high level of concentration. Further training opportunities after the apprenticeship include foreman training, a vocational school-leaving certificate or a course at a university of applied sciences or university.

Electrical Engineering for Industrial Operations

Responsibilities & training:

In electrical engineering, you will install, assemble, maintain and repair the electrical systems, machines and devices in our company. Your other tasks will include the planning, installation and commissioning of control, measurement, regulation and drive technology. Your training will cover all knowledge and skills relating to electronics, systematic troubleshooting and fault rectification as well as the creation of circuit documentation and layout. The wiring and programming of new machines is also learnt.

Requirements & further training opportunities:

You should have a technical understanding and a high level of concentration. You enjoy working carefully and accurately. You should also be responsible and patient. Further training opportunities after the apprenticeship include control and regulation technology (e.g. PLC) as well as mechatronics and a vocational school-leaving certificate or a course at a university of applied sciences or university.

Mechatronics

Responsibilities & training:

In mechatronics, you will be responsible for the electromechanical assembly and maintenance of our systems and equipment. You will program high-precision sorting and assembly machines and create the corresponding circuit diagrams. You will acquire practical and theoretical knowledge of electrical engineering, electronics, mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics during your training. Part of this will also involve assembling, installing and programming system components, systems and machines. You will also deal with troubleshooting and fault rectification as well as the optimization of production and monitoring systems.

Requirements & further training opportunities:

You should have a technical understanding for an apprenticeship as a mechatronics technician. You should also enjoy working carefully and accurately. You should be responsible and patient and have a high level of concentration. Dexterity, cleanliness and tidiness are also part of your profile. Further training opportunities after the apprenticeship include control and regulation technology (e.g. PLC), a vocational school-leaving certificate or a course at a university of applied sciences or university.

Operations logistics

Responsibilities & training:

In operational logistics, you will specialize in warehousing. You will work with our modern high-bay warehouse, accept deliveries, ensure proper storage and check quality. You will issue documents and forms, order goods and raw materials and keep the relevant records. You will use special IT programs for this.

You will acquire practical and theoretical knowledge about the organization and management of materials (receipt, inspection, storage, retrieval, stock levels, dispatch and much more) during your training. Another important part of the program is administrative support using the company's information and communication systems, which you will get to know in detail.

Requirements & further training opportunities:

For an apprenticeship in operational logistics, you should enjoy using digital tools. You should have both commercial and technical understanding. A high level of communication skills is also important, as you will be in constant contact with customers, suppliers, haulage companies and colleagues. Further training opportunities after the apprenticeship include the vocational school-leaving examination or subsequent training at a university of applied sciences or university.

Apprenticeship combined with HTL graduation (KTLA)

Education:

The KTLA apprenticeship program (ktla.at) is a combination of practice-oriented apprenticeship training and high-level theoretical training at the Higher Technical College Linz (Litec). The apprenticeship is completed after 3.5 years, the HTL school-leaving certificate (A-levels) after a total of 5 years. In the company, you will learn either a metal or electrical trade, how to use state-of-the-art machines and the economic principles of our company. The theoretical training takes place at the TIZ Kirchdorf in cooperation with HTL Linz. After your apprenticeship, you will attend evening classes as a skilled worker for 1 ½ years.

Requirements & further training opportunities:

A high level of willingness to learn and commitment are prerequisites for attending the KTLA. You also need a technical understanding and good spatial awareness. You should enjoy working accurately and have a high level of concentration. You should also be physically and mentally resilient. Further training opportunities after completing an apprenticeship with a school-leaving certificate include further education at a university of applied sciences or university.

With us, you can also complete a matura alongside your apprenticeship.
This gives you the opportunity to study at a university or university of applied sciences after your apprenticeship.
